The weather had been totally unpredictable in the past few days. Dark and drizzly in the morning, and suddenly a full blast hotness from noon. It's hard enough to choose my outfit on normal days, now this. However, today was sooo gloomy on the get-go weatherwise, and might possibly well into the afternoon, so I picked out a grey and black outfit, busted out my dusty boots and crumpled tights for work. And face...smokey with dark burgundy and purple lipstick.
Left home with MAC Mattene Kirsch
And possibly would leave the office with MAC Rebel.
I want this weather to last!
On eyes I used MAC Warm holiday palette 2009 and MAC Bite of an Apple from Venomous Villains collection on my cheeks.

All about Lipsticks - Maybelline Colorsensational
Having been a lipstick junkie all my life, the minute an opportunity to get more lipsticks arrived, I'd immediately be clicking sites for swatches, salivating over new colors, latest collection from X brands and when my evil shopping twin's around, I'd click buy, buy, buy!
And when the goodies arrived, I would be so excited until I saw the lipstick. Oh. I had that color already. At a fraction of the price. As in the case with Maybelline Colorsensation 205 Nearly There and Oriflame Color Attraction Metallic Nude (Rp. 75.000 vs. Rp. 20.000). Bwaaahhh! They're exactly a dupe, down to the shimmer.
See for yourself here:

Maybelline Colorsensational 025 Pink Please is also another dupe for something which I already own (just need a little diggin, y'all). So, *sighs* Me:0 - Online Shopping: 2
Pink Please is slightly easy on the eyes. The swatch on hand isn't exactly accurate. I'd say the picture of the lipstick above is true to its color.
I rummaged through my work desk, and swatched some lipsticks that was in the same color family; pink nude.
Oh well.
On a side note, don't you just love it when the online shop owner sent you a cute little thank-you card along with your purchase? How courteous! See, sometimes this little note is all it takes to make buyers recommend the store and at least browse the shop. I salute Doreen Valencia from http://beautedeamour.multiply.com. She also has a fanpage : beautedeamour.

So, to all nude-lipstick explorers out there, check for dupes first in your drawers, dressing tables, cosmetic bags, etc, before you try purchasing another one. Leason learned.

Party Look to the Reunion
I have a 20 year reunion to go to in New Jersey that I couldn't go to. So instead, I cooked up some idea of what I'd like to look like. Mind you, it's around 8:30 pm, I just got back from work, was about to wash up before bed. Why not? That yellow dress wasn't a dress at all, just this shawl I tossed on my shoulder. The bottom? None! I' m at the bathroom, anyway. It was fun, though, playing dressed up. I had to dig several boxes to find me some earrings.

Wait! There's no earrings on the 1st picture.
Pretty festive, ain't it?

Lipstick Love
I originally wanted to sell Vivacious because pinkish purplish are always hard to work on my skin tone. It's probably just me, but I looked like d-rated tranny when I had that kind of color on my lips. So, before throwing it off to a market, I wanted to see if it still would work for me. See how persistent I could be when it comes to lipstick? I wish I had the strength when it comes to my bank account. Over the weekend, I managed to buy MAC blush Coygirl, MAC MSF Sonic Chic Gleeful and a Stila lip glaze, ordered LashBlast Very Black waterproof, 2 EM brushes.
Come next month, I'm so dead.
But here's my new lippie experiment :

Very pretty, yah! Might resist selling Vivacious.
